The earthquake in SzeChuen on May 12, 14:28 hours (to be exact) caused over 30,000 people died and hundred thousands missing. It's a big tragedy. Even one brother asked our assistant pastor during the Sunday school about the suffering. Well, it's not the original proposal from God. God didn't ask us to build tall buildings, and "bean curd" buildings. More than that, more than ten thousand toads ran away from where they lived few days before the tragedy, but the local Government was not aware of that and yet, informed and soothed the residents and ultimately, nobody got alert. We, the human being, are not humble enough.

Xin Yan asked us several times why the people cried in the earthquake, and also why the news were always about that. Well, she's only 5 and a half years old, and fails to understand and feels the tragedy and suffering. But last Sunday, when she got out from the Sunday school in the church, she hugged me, saying that she's not happy, and then cried. I bought her two little frogs 2 days before, but jumped out of water and eventually died. She missed them and so, cried wtih sorrow.

I deeply believe, she will be a good citizen, with strong passion and feelings upon the things and people around her. My wife, Yee Fun is the first one who teaches her how to feel. Xin Yan, a pretty sensitive girl, will contribute her effort in helping those who are around her. That's our mission on her, and the misson from God.
